Game Overview:

C-Quance is a strategic board game where players combine elements of chance and calculation to outmaneuver their opponents. The objective is to accumulate the highest score by capturing symbols and forming sequences on the game board.

Components:

• Game Board: A grid of 8×8 squares.
• Player Tokens: Unique tokens for each player (e.g., circles, squares, triangles).
• Symbol Cards: Deck of cards with various symbols.
• Dice: Two six-sided dice.
• Score Tracker: A board to keep track of each player’s score.

Symbols:

1. ★ (Star): Worth 5 points.
2. ☀ (Sun): Worth 3 points.
3. ☁ (Cloud): Worth 2 points.
4. ⚡ (Lightning): Worth 1 point.
5. ❄ (Snowflake): Neutral, no points.

Setup:

1. Place the game board in the center.
2. Shuffle the Symbol Cards and place them in a stack.
3. Each player chooses a set of tokens and places them on their starting positions.
4. Determine the starting player by rolling the dice.

Gameplay:

1. Turn Order: Players take turns in a clockwise direction.
2. Rolling Dice: On their turn, a player rolls both dice.
   • The total of the dice determines the number of moves the player can make.
   • A player can move their tokens horizontally or vertically.
3. Drawing Symbol Cards: After moving, the player draws a Symbol Card.
   • The symbol drawn determines the effect on the game board.
4. Placing Symbols: Place the drawn symbol on any empty square on the board.
5. Capturing Symbols: If a player moves their token onto a square with a symbol, they capture the symbol and add its points to their score.
6. Forming Sequences: Players can form sequences by aligning three or more of the same symbols in a row, column, or diagonal.
   • Forming a sequence grants bonus points.

Special Rules:

• Double Roll: If a player rolls doubles, they get an extra turn.
• Block Move: Players can use their turn to block an opponent by placing one of their tokens on an empty square, preventing others from landing there.
• Bonus Round: After every 5 turns, a bonus round occurs where players can exchange captured symbols for special abilities (e.g., extra moves, additional points).

Winning the Game:

The game ends when all Symbol Cards have been drawn and placed on the board. The player with the highest score wins. In case of a tie, the player with the most sequences formed wins.
